It is held annually by Korea Publishers Association in order to promote Korean publications abroad, to strengthen the competitiveness of the publishing industry, to promote reading among the public, and to allow the public to enjoy diverse cultures through literature. This year, the Book Fair features a variety of special exhibitions including ''Korean Documents in the UNESCO''s Memory of the World,'' ''World Cities Visited through Books'' and ''Pop-up Books from all over the World,'' as well as seminars that will discuss ''Digital Publishing,'' ''Opportunities & Challenges for the Publishing Industry,'' ''How to Promote Korean Children''s Books Overseas'' and several other issues.
